ACI “Concrete Flatwork Finisher” certification course

Come to our state-of-the-art training facility in Ft. Myers, FL.   We’d like to make it easy to provide you and your team with the skills and certifications that you need.

ACI “Flatwork Finisher” certification course – ACI “Concrete Flatwork Finisher” (previously known as “Tradesman”) is a ‘in the mud” performance exam. Somero offers this as a 2 day course, with optional Day 1 being instructional in a classroom setting. The required Day 2 (Practical or Performance test day) will be placing concrete in shop setting @ Somero’s SCI (Somero Concrete Institute) facility.

Concrete Flatwork Finisher (formerly Concrete Flatwork Tradesman) is a craftsman who has demonstrated the skills (via a hands-on performance exam) necessary to place, consolidate, finish, edge, joint, cure and protect concrete flatwork.

Concrete Flatwork Finisher: ACI will grant certification to those candidates who:

  • Possess 1,500 hours of actual on-the-job finishing*experience (approximately one year of regular full-time work) AND
  • Successfully pass the performance examination**

Certification is valid for a period of five years from the date of successfully completing all requirements.

$599 per person, includes exam & 2 days lunch [Reference Class # SCI-60002].

October 29-30, 2024 with an 8:30 AM start time on Day 1.

To Re Certify:

Recertification requires successful completion of either a performance examination OR a combination of 10 hours documented continuing education from an approved source and 1500 additional hours of verified continuing work experience attained within the previous 5 years.
